Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Markdown Super application for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS ("the App"), developed by Flavio Almeida Paulino ("the Developer"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. Distribution through the App Store is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies where these Terms are silent.

2. The App

Markdown Super is a Markdown note editor. Notes are stored as plain Markdown files on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account. The App requires no account and works offline.

3. Markdown Super Pro

The free version of the App includes the full editing experience with up to 7 projects. Markdown Super Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited projects.

• The purchase is processed by Apple and applies to your Apple Account across your Mac, iPhone, and iPad (universal purchase).
• Pro is a lifetime unlock for the App: there is no subscription and no recurring charge.
• Prices are set per country in the App Store and may change for future buyers; a completed purchase is never charged again.
• Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under App Store policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. The Developer cannot issue refunds directly.
• Use Restore Purchases (in Settings) to re-activate Pro on a new device or after reinstalling.

4. Your content

You own your notes, entirely. The Developer claims no rights over anything you write in the App, has no access to it, and imposes no restrictions on what you do with your own files. You are responsible for the content you create and for keeping backups; the App's iCloud sync and 30-day Trash help, but they are not a substitute for your own backup practices.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to violate any applicable law, to reverse-engineer or redistribute the App except as permitted by law or by the App Store terms, or to misrepresent the App as your own work.

6. Updates and availability

The Developer may release updates that add, change, or remove features. Reasonable efforts are made to keep the App compatible with current Apple operating systems, but continued availability of the App or of specific features is not guaranteed. Your Markdown files remain readable by any text editor regardless of the App's availability.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer does not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. In any case, total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer-protection law grants you and that cannot be waived by contract.

9. Changes to these Terms

The Developer may update these Terms; the current version will always be available at this page, with its effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
